Nestled in the heart of Bermuda Run, North Carolina, the WinMock at Kinderton venue provided the perfect canvas for a romantic and elegant wedding celebration. Our couple, Kiersten and Tanner, embraced their Southern roots and infused their special day with charm, warmth, and thoughtful details.

The WinMock at Kinderton is a historic gem, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its classic vintage style and picturesque setting make it an ideal choice for couples seeking a unique and timeless backdrop for their wedding. Kiersten and Tanner fell in love with its past life as a working horse farm, and its newly restored charm full of character and stunning landscapes.

Southern Aesthetic: Blush Tones and Ivory

Kiersten, a true Southern belle, envisioned a wedding that reflected her love for tradition and elegance. Blush tones and ivory set the stage for a soft and romantic ambiance. The bridesmaids wore satin champagne-hued dresses, and Kiersten herself glided down the aisle in a lace-embellished white gown. The groom, Tanner, looked dashing in a classic ivory jacket with dark-washed denim jeans and a black cowboy hat. The combination of blush and ivory exuded timeless grace and Southern sophistication.

A Grand Entrance: The Groom on Horseback

Tanner, a true cowboy, surprised everyone by making a grand entrance on horseback. As the sun dipped below the horizon, he rode toward the ceremony site, his steed, Badger, held his head up with pride and grace as he trotted past the beautiful weeping willow tree. The guests gasped in delight as Tanner dismounted. It was a moment straight out of a fairytale—a Southern gentleman arriving to claim his bride.

Bold Florals

The floral arrangements were a true feast for the eyes. Kiersten’s bouquet featured a rich blend of taupe, yellow, peach, and burgundy, with pops of white anemones and an ivory ribbon. The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the same. The long banquet reception tables boasted centerpieces overflowing with Italian ruscus greenery and ivory taper candles. For the round reception tables, we incorporated bud vases of burgundy roses and pops of yellow, and we repurposed the bridesmaid bouquets as centerpieces. The bold floral colors created an enchanting atmosphere.

Thoughtful Gifting: A Bride’s Intention

Kiersten’s attention to detail extended beyond aesthetics. She carefully curated a personalized gift for her father with a cherished family photo stitched on the back of a new tie. For her mother and stepmother, a delicate bracelet and hand-written heartfelt letters. And for Tanner, a new pair of fancy leather chaps for her cowboy to wear on his cattle farm. These thoughtful gestures spoke volumes about Kiersten’s love and gratitude for her loved ones.

A Fairytale Ending

As the sun set over the rolling hills of Bermuda Run, Kiersten and Tanner danced under the twinkling lights of the Main Barn. Their wedding at WinMock at Kinderton was a testament to love, tradition, and the beauty of the South. Blush tones, burgundy blooms, and intentional gifting wove together seamlessly, creating a day they—and their guests—will cherish forever.
