When customizing your wedding day, it is extremely important to think about your must-have list. For this styled shoot, I knew I wanted to incorporate a citrus color palette and vintage details. I give full credit to my husband for investing his time and talent into making the custom cake-stand for the ultimate dessert display. I reached out to several local and highly talented artists to complete the balance vision.

Jeanne from Artsy Cakesy worked with me to complete the most gorgeous lemon buttercream dream cake. We began working from my styled shoot mood board, with collected images of inspiration. Once I had ordered the linens and the cake stand was created, Jeanne went to work to design a cohesive aesthetic for the cake. She exceeded expectations.

The lovely and talented photographer, Christian Reyes helped set the foundation for where this photoshoot should take place. She had a very light and bright approach, and it seemed fitting to incorporate a venue that matched her aesthetic. Once the McAlister-Leftwich House was booked, I established a timeline for the all-star vendor team to work from.

The day began with hair and makeup by the incredibly funny, kind, down-to-earth, and gorgeous duo team of The Beauty Tribe. These ladies knocked it out of the park with their professionalism and efficiency! Once HMU was complete, my stunning model then traveled to get pampered once again with a mani-pedi! I welcomed her with a refreshing Clean Juice to pump some energy into her beautiful veins, then she went to work.

Christian Reyes was such a motivator and had the most chill personality. She worked to pose Sarah while the ceremony/reception sites were getting styled. I kept hearing cheering and laughter from down the hall – this put a big smile on my face as I raced the clock to complete the balance sets.

We took full advantage of the venue’s chic and southern charm. Setting the scene from a cute bride-in-tub shot to the prestigious exterior full-venue + bride shot. This day was packed with magical moments.
